Reason: I went home for a visit this weekend and had a really nice time with friends and family. Sitting on the Greyhound, waiting to pull out of the station, I looked at my Mom waving and started crying.

15. "Calloused Hand by Calloused Hand"

Time: 10:28 a.m.
Reason: In reporting class today, we watched Obama's victory speech. The point of the exercise was to write a news story on the event, however, I was far too emotional to write anything serious enough for a newspaper. The part that really got me was when he thanked his wife and children. And, probably my favourite line in the speech, the quote in the title of this post. I would also like to note that as soon as my professor announced the task, I said, "Oh great, I'm going to cry." If you have time, even if you've already seen it, watch the speech.

14. Daron Richardson

Reason: On my break at work I picked up a copy of the Metro that was laying on one of the tables and started to read the story about Daron Richardson. It was so heartbreaking. I knew a few sentences in that I should not have read it while at work because a quarter of the way through the tears were streaming down my face. Please pray for the Richardson family.

10. Wrong Side of the Road

Reason: I waited 20 minutes for my bus and then watched it drive past on the other side of the road. Can anyone explain to me why a bus that goes through BILLINGS BRIDGE on its way DOWNTOWN would not pick you up at the transitway station with a big arrow saying BILLINGS BRIDGE, DOWNTOWN?
I was also extremely hungry.

8. Missing Out

Reason: I found out for sure today that I will not be able to go on a family trip that's been in the works for months because I have to work and there is no one that can switch shifts with me. And I am even more upset because if I had called one day earlier to book it off it would have been no problem. Look for an entry soon with the following reason: I can't stop kicking myself.

7. Look Out!

Reason: Marc and I were taking a shortcut through a park to his house and I was telling him that I was really glad that he was there because I would be scared if I was by myself. Then, he grabbed my arm and said "LOOK OUT!" He told me he was joking right after but it was too late. I was already crying because I was so scared.

Reason: This morning my Mom emailed me saying our family dog is going to have to be put down in a few weeks. Then I called work to book next weekend off to go to London with my family and they told me the schedule has already been made. I am so not used to working for a big, super organized company!
